Most Marbella hen weekends run from Friday afternoon to Sunday, so this is a three-day itinerary in the sense of three calendar days, not three full days on the ground. If the group is staying for three nights, move the departure plans to Monday and keep Sunday open for the beach, pool or spa.

The timings work for groups staying in Marbella, Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía or on the Golden Mile. San Pedro de Alcántara and Cancelada can also work, but the extra taxi or minibus journeys need to be included in both the schedule and the budget.

Saturday has one main daytime activity, one celebration dinner and an optional late venue. That is already a full day. Adding a class, long lunch, beach booking and nightclub table usually means spending the weekend watching the clock.

Before choosing the itinerary

Settle the practical details before asking anyone for money:

Actual arrival and departure times, including luggage collection and the airport journey.

The full accommodation address, not simply “Marbella” or “Puerto Banús”.

Whether everyone wants to join the boat and is comfortable with boarding, swimming and possible seasickness.

The maximum budget for food, activities, nightlife and transport.

Pregnancy, mobility, allergy or medical considerations that affect any booking.

Whether the accommodation accepts hen groups, visitors and outside activity providers.

How everyone will travel together when several taxis may not arrive at the same time.

It helps to have one person handling bookings and another keeping copies of addresses, transport details and confirmation messages.

Day 1: arrival, an easy dinner and drinks

13:00-16:00: airport transfer and check-in

Pre-book a vehicle from Málaga Airport with enough space for every passenger and suitcase. The drive to Marbella usually takes around 40-60 minutes, although Friday traffic and accommodation in San Pedro or Cancelada can extend the journey.

Avoid making a paid activity the first booking of the weekend. A delayed flight or slow luggage collection can quickly turn a class or lunch reservation into a problem.

Once the group arrives, leave at least an hour for food, unpacking and getting ready. If the property has a detailed check-in process, send two people to deal with the keys and deposit while everyone else waits nearby.

17:00-19:00: settle in and stay nearby

Keep the late afternoon simple: use the accommodation pool, walk along the seafront or have a drink close to where you are staying. Anyone arriving on a later flight can then join without missing a paid booking.

In central Marbella, walk through the Old Town and down towards the seafront. Around Puerto Banús, spend some time at the marina, but save the main drinking for after dinner.

20:00: first-night dinner at Cibo

Cibo on the Golden Mile is a straightforward first-night choice. Its Italian menu is familiar enough for a group with different tastes, and the location sits between central Marbella and Puerto Banús. Most groups will still need taxis.

Book for the actual number of guests and ask about the table, menu, dietary requirements, deposit, payment method and deadline for final numbers. Cibo does not publish one standard hen-party package, so use the terms supplied for your booking.

If the group is staying in Puerto Banús and does not want the extra journey, Jack's Smokehouse is the easier alternative. Its broad menu and marina location make it particularly useful for a large, informal dinner.

22:15 onwards: keep the first night flexible

There is little benefit in committing everyone to an expensive club after a day of travelling. Pick the plan that matches where the group is staying:

Central Marbella: Continue to the Puerto Deportivo de Marbella. The marina bars are close together, and several have music and space for dancing. Opening hours vary by venue and season, so check the bar you plan to use.

Puerto Banús: Start with drinks around the marina and move to Joys Live for live music. Joys currently lists terrace music from 21:30, indoor music from 23:30 and opening until 03:00. A table is optional; the published reservation condition is one bottle of spirits or champagne for every four guests.

Early night: Head back after dinner if Saturday is the main celebration. After an early flight, this is often the plan everyone is secretly relieved to follow.

Anyone staying out later should return with at least one other person and have the accommodation pin saved on their phone.

Day 2: private boat, dinner show and the main night

09:30-11:00: breakfast and a slow start

Have breakfast at the accommodation or somewhere nearby rather than booking an early formal brunch. Drink water and leave time to collect swimwear, sunscreen, identification and dry clothes.

The organiser should check any wind or weather message from the boat company. The operator decides whether conditions are unsafe; a poor-looking forecast on its own does not normally give the group the right to cancel.

11:45: travel to Puerto Banús and find the berth

A private charter has a fixed departure time, and finding the correct berth can take longer than expected. These are sensible planning allowances rather than guaranteed journey times:

From central Marbella or the Golden Mile, allow roughly 20-30 minutes for pickup and the walk to the berth.

From Nueva Andalucía or San Pedro, allow roughly 15-25 minutes.

From Cancelada, allow roughly 30-40 minutes and arrange the vehicle in advance.

Keep the captain's number, meeting pin and booking name somewhere that can be opened without mobile data.

12:30-16:30: private charter with Epic Yacht Marbella

Book a four-hour private charter through Epic Yacht Marbella. Four hours is long enough to cruise, stop for a swim when conditions allow and enjoy the boat without losing the whole day.

Epic offers different yachts rather than one standard hen-party boat. The licensed passenger limit depends on the vessel, and several options on the current website carry no more than 11 or 12 guests. Larger groups need a boat or certified arrangement that covers everyone; extra passengers cannot simply be added to a smaller yacht.

Before paying, get the following in writing:

The exact yacht and licensed passenger limit.

Boarding point, boarding time and scheduled return.

The full price including 21% VAT.

Deposit, balance and cancellation deadlines.

Drinks, snacks, towels and water equipment included.

Rules for bringing additional food, alcohol and music.

Toilet, cabin, swimming and accessibility arrangements.

The policy for unsafe weather and changes to the number of guests.

16:30-19:30: return, eat and get ready

Go back to the accommodation together and allow at least two and a half hours for showers, hair, make-up and a rest. This is the part of the day that usually takes longer than planned.

Order simple food at the accommodation if needed instead of adding another restaurant stop. Anyone who drank on the boat should eat and have water before going out again.

20:30: dinner and entertainment at Nomad

Nomad in Nueva Andalucía works for the main celebration because dinner and entertainment happen in the same venue. The current website lists live performances every night from May to September. Its official pages give conflicting winter dinner-show days, so check the programme for the chosen date.

The booking page currently publishes these terms:

Reservations from 15 June are subject to a €70-per-person minimum spend.

Groups of more than eight require a €30-per-person prepaid deposit.

Deposits are refundable with at least 48 hours' notice. Later cancellations and no-shows lose the payment.

Groups of more than 12 must contact the restaurant directly.

Smart dress is recommended.

Reconfirm everything before collecting money. Nomad is a louder, higher-spend dinner and is unlikely to suit guests looking for a quiet or inexpensive meal. For some groups, it will be enough for the whole evening without adding a club afterwards.

23:30 onwards: live music or one pre-booked club

If the group wants to continue after Nomad, choose one venue and stay there rather than moving everyone repeatedly.

For live music: Head to Joys in Puerto Banús. Indoor music currently starts from 23:30, which fits naturally after dinner. Check the artist and table conditions, particularly if several guests do not drink.

For a nightclub: Choose by the event calendar, not by the name of the club. TIBU and Funky Buddha are in Puerto Banús. FITZ, Momento and Bonbonniere require another journey outside the main marina area. Confirm the music, ticket or table, minimum age, dress code, last entry, group acceptance and return transport.

Veils, novelty outfits and large hen accessories may be refused even when ordinary smart clothing is accepted. If the theme matters to the group, send a photograph or description to the venue before buying tickets.

Day 3: brunch, a short final plan and departure

10:00: check out or store the luggage

Check the departure time before the weekend. Returning the keys does not automatically mean the group can continue using a private or communal pool.

Keep airport clothes, medication and travel documents separate from the stored cases. Before leaving, ask one person to check the bedrooms and bathrooms for chargers, passports and make-up bags.

10:45-12:30: brunch at Leone

Leone Brasserie in Puerto Banús currently serves its bottomless brunch until 12:30 and includes 90 minutes of drinks. Guests must mention the brunch when booking. The restaurant requests card details after confirming the table, with a charge in the event of a no-show, and adds 10% service to groups of ten or more.

Ask for the current menu, price, dietary choices, alcohol-free option and cancellation terms. A bottomless brunch is not sensible for anyone driving or heading straight to the airport, so an ordinary breakfast may suit part of the group better.

12:30-14:30: stay close to the luggage

The last activity should be easy to shorten if checkout, traffic or flight timings change:

Walk around Puerto Banús and stop for coffee by the marina.

Return to the accommodation pool only if access after checkout has been confirmed.

Book a short spa treatment on the Golden Mile if everyone has a genuinely late flight.

Skip the extra plan and leave for the airport without rushing.

Avoid putting an east Marbella beach booking between brunch in Puerto Banús and an afternoon flight. The journey across town takes away most of the usable time.

14:30 onwards: collect the luggage and leave

Work backwards from the flight departure time, allowing for Sunday traffic, loading the luggage and finding the correct terminal.

If guests are on different flights, arrange separate transfers before the weekend. Waiting at the airport may be cheaper than booking another minibus, but not everyone will want to lose the final few hours of the trip.

If a boat is not right for the group

Replace the Saturday charter with one of these plans and keep the rest of the itinerary broadly the same.

Beach-day alternative

Book beds and lunch at Bono Beach or Sabine Beach in east Marbella. Ask about the bed arrangement, arrival time, food conditions, event schedule, weather policy and return transport. Check the calendar for the chosen date rather than assuming there will be a DJ or live music every day.

This option is easiest for groups staying in central or east Marbella. From Cancelada, it involves a long trip across town followed by another journey to Nomad that evening.

Wet-weather alternative

Choose an indoor spa, private dance class, escape room or mobile cocktail class that the accommodation has approved. Make sure the whole group can take part at the same time; splitting a large party across several sessions can leave half the day spent waiting.

How to adapt the itinerary

For a tighter budget

Stay in San Pedro or compare apartments with communal pools in Cancelada.

Include taxis and minibuses when deciding whether cheaper accommodation is genuinely cheaper.

Replace the yacht with a dance class, paddleboarding or an unstructured beach day.

Use Jack's for the main group meal and choose bars instead of a club table.

Avoid paying both Nomad's minimum spend and a premium nightclub minimum on the same night.

For more than 12 guests

Ask Epic Yacht Marbella for a certified arrangement that covers the full group.

Pre-book a minibus for fixed-time activities and the main night.

Contact restaurants directly rather than making several unrelated online bookings.

Ask the nightlife venue to accept the complete party in writing.

Set the group's payment deadline before the providers' cancellation deadlines.

For mixed ages or a lower-energy group

Make the first night optional after dinner.

Replace the club with Joys or bars at the central marina.

Let guests skip the final brunch or activity where doing so does not raise the cost for everyone else.

For three nights

Use Sunday for the beach, spa or pool and move brunch and departure to Monday. A longer stay does not need another major night out.

Booking order

Flights and accommodation, including the full address.

Airport transfers with enough luggage space.

Epic Yacht Marbella or the alternative main activity.

Nomad and its current group terms.

The chosen nightclub or Joys reservation.

First-night dinner and final brunch.

Transport for the activity and late night.

One weather alternative that can take the whole group.
