Puerto Banús is a sensible stag base if the plans centre on watersports, a private yacht, an easy group meal and nights around the marina. It is less suited to a cheap, improvised weekend. Accommodation and drinks can be expensive in peak season, and large all-male parties should arrange club entry before paying for tickets or tables.
Most daytime activities in Puerto Banús itself are water-based. Jet skis, towables, parasailing, the seasonal floating water park and Epic Yacht charters can all be planned close to the marina. Holo VR Zone and Casino Marbella provide indoor alternatives. Paintball, karting and full golf courses require transport, so they are covered separately rather than presented as local activities.
Is Puerto Banús right for your stag group?
Puerto Banús suits:
Groups that want a yacht or watersports as the main daytime activity.
Stags who prefer a good meal, marina bars and one planned club night.
Parties willing to book honestly and follow venue dress and behaviour rules.
Mixed-age groups that need alternatives to constant drinking.
Guests staying close enough to walk to the marina.
It is less suitable for:
A group looking for the cheapest accommodation, drinks and nightlife.
A large all-male party expecting to enter every venue without booking.
A weekend based around conspicuous fancy dress, drinking games or public challenges.
Groups mainly interested in outdoor sports well away from the port.
Anyone assuming that every villa in Nueva Andalucía is walkable from Puerto Banús.
Puerto Banús or Marbella centre for a stag do?
| Puerto Banús is stronger for… | Marbella centre is stronger for… |
|---|---|
| Epic Yacht charters leaving from the marina. | Central escape rooms, the Old Town and a wider choice of local bars. |
| Jack’s Smokehouse and other marina group meals. | Groups trying to avoid the premium attached to the port. |
| A bar-led evening followed by TIBU or Funky Buddha. | A flexible night that does not depend on one major club booking. |
| Walking back when the accommodation is genuinely beside the port. | Groups planning one night in Banús rather than basing the entire trip there. |
The two areas are normally around 15–25 minutes apart by road in ordinary traffic. Staying in the marina only justifies the higher price if the itinerary uses it more than once.
Where to stay
The marina and immediate Puerto Banús area
This is the simplest base for a yacht, Jack’s, the marina bars and the late venues around the port. Guests who leave early may be able to walk back, and there is no need to arrange taxis between dinner and a nearby club.
Ask for the property’s exact map pin. Pedestrian areas, one-way streets and restricted drop-off points can make the practical entrance different from the postal address. The host should also confirm the noise rules, visitor policy, deposit and whether stag groups are accepted.
Nueva Andalucía
Nueva Andalucía spreads inland behind Puerto Banús. It has villas, apartments, restaurants, lounges and daytime pool venues, but it is not one compact nightlife district. Some properties are close to the marina; others are separated from it by hills, busy roads or the A-7. A short straight-line distance on a map does not make a route safe to walk after dark.
Nomad is in Aloha, within Nueva Andalucía, rather than on the marina. Treat dinner there as a separate taxi journey.
San Pedro de Alcántara
San Pedro can offer better-value accommodation within a relatively short drive of Puerto Banús. Allow roughly 10–15 minutes in normal traffic. The saving may disappear if the group takes several taxis back and forth each day, so compare the full transport cost.
The Golden Mile
The Golden Mile sits between Puerto Banús and Marbella centre and is convenient for paintball at Fuerte de Nagüeles. It works well when the itinerary uses both areas, but most accommodation is not a sensible late-night walk from the marina.
Cancelada
Cancelada can suit a villa group that values space more than nightlife convenience. Allow roughly 20–30 minutes to Puerto Banús in ordinary conditions. For fixed bookings and the main evening, a minibus is more dependable than expecting several taxis to find the same villa at once.
What can you walk to?
A group staying beside the marina may be able to walk to:
The confirmed Epic Yacht Marbella berth.
Jack’s Smokehouse, Leone, Chow, Mumtaz and Red Pepper.
Joys Live and other marina bars.
Funky Buddha on Calle Muelle Ribera.
TIBU behind the marina in Plaza Antonio Banderas, when the selected event is running.
Depending on the accommodation, the watersports at Playa Levante and the seasonal CostaWaterPark may also be walkable or a short taxi ride away. Holo VR Zone describes its centre as being in Puerto Banús, although the organiser should request the exact meeting pin before setting off.
Paintball, most padel and golf facilities, Marbella centre, Nomad and all Metro Grupo beach venues require transport. Use the precise pickup point rather than relying on the general description “Puerto Banús area”.
Activities in Puerto Banús
The local choice is good if the group is happy to spend much of the day on or near the water. A yacht, watersports session, CostaWaterPark visit or indoor VR booking is enough for the main activity. There is little benefit in combining several of them and rushing back for dinner.
1. Private yacht from the marina
A private yacht works for a social stag group that would rather spend time together than compete. Use Epic Yacht Marbella only.
The Fairline Targa 43 takes up to 11 guests and is currently listed at €700 for two hours, €1,100 for four hours and €1,800 for eight hours, plus 21% VAT.
The Lagoon 450 catamaran takes up to 12 guests. Its May-to-September prices are €750 for two hours, €1,075 for four hours, €1,570 for six hours and €1,990 for eight hours, plus 21% VAT. Lower October-to-April prices are also published.
The listed inclusions cover crew, fuel at nine knots, water, soft drinks, beer, white wine or cava and a light snack. Water equipment varies by boat.
A charter is not an unrestricted floating party. Confirm the licensed guest limit, VAT-inclusive total, alcohol and music rules, boarding point, toilet access, swimming arrangements, deposit, weather decision and cancellation terms. A party larger than the stated capacity needs a different certified arrangement.
2. Jet skis at Playa Levante
Water Sports Banus operates from Playa Levante. Its jet skis take one or two people, and no licence is required for the supervised circuit sessions. Drivers must be at least 18.
Current prices are €70 for 20 minutes, €100 for 30 minutes, €180 for one hour and €330 for two hours per jet ski. The price includes a safety briefing, life jacket, insurance and support-boat supervision. An optional photo and video package is listed at €25.
This activity works better when enough machines are available for several guests to ride at once. Ask how many jet skis the operator can provide, whether passengers can swap drivers, how long the complete booking takes, where belongings can be stored and what happens if the sea conditions are unsafe. The stated duration refers to the session booked; confirm the route and supervision format rather than assuming independent riding.
Water Sports Banus is included here for watersports only. Private boat and yacht recommendations remain limited to Epic Yacht Marbella.
3. Banana boats, towables and group watersports
The same Playa Levante operator offers short rides that are easy to add to a watersports session:
Banana boat: €25 per person for four to eight riders.
Donut ride: €25 per person for one to four riders.
Ski-bus: €25 per person for six to ten riders.
Crazy Sofa: €30 per person for two to four riders.
Two-ride combination: €45 per person.
Individual rides last around 10–15 minutes, so one ride is an add-on rather than a full afternoon. The operator currently advertises 10% off for groups of six or more. Its group page gives a usual bachelor and hen booking range of six to 30 and lists an “Adrenaline Pack” from €95 per person, combining a 20-minute jet-ski session, parasailing and one towable ride.
Confirm how the party rotates between activities, the total time needed and how many people can take part at once. Also ask whether the quoted package price can be combined with the group discount and whether the published 30% deposit applies to the booking.
Towables may not suit guests with back, neck or joint problems. Bring secure swimwear, a towel and water-resistant sun protection.
4. Parasailing from Playa Levante
Parasailing suits a smaller party or guests who want to go on the water without driving a jet ski. The flight lasts roughly 10–15 minutes, with around 30–45 minutes allowed for the boat journey and preparation.
Current prices are €60 for one person, €90 for two and €120 for three. The operator publishes combined weight limits and makes the final decision according to conditions, so a requested pairing is not guaranteed. The safety briefing, harness, crew, boat transfer and insurance are listed as included.
Only a few people can fly at once. For a larger party, include parasailing in a mixed watersports booking and ask how many flights can be completed during the reserved slot.
5. CostaWaterPark Puerto Banús
CostaWaterPark is a floating inflatable obstacle course off the beach at its Puerto Banús location. It is seasonal and open to the public rather than reserved for stag parties.
The 2026 official page lists opening from mid-June to mid-September, from 11:00 to 20:00 when weather and sea conditions allow. The current Puerto Banús price is €20 for one hour or €40 for a day pass. Sessions begin and end on the hour, and wristbands are sold from the beach ticket office.
This is a physical activity for confident swimmers who do not mind repeatedly falling into the water. The official site does not publish private-hire terms or a stag capacity, so ask how a large booking is handled, along with the rules on life jackets, swimming ability, lockers, last admission and weather disruption.
6. Virtual reality and arcade games
Holo VR Zone offers VR games, VR escape rooms, arcade activities and organised group events at a venue of more than 500 square metres near Puerto Banús. Its current site lists daily opening from 12:00 to 22:00.
The site publishes example group packages, but these are presented as team-building bookings and do not clearly settle the price or format for every adult stag party. Ask how many guests can play at once, whether the area is exclusive, how rotations work for a party larger than ten, the game languages, health restrictions, duration, full price and cancellation terms. It is only a useful wet-weather backup if most of the group can take part rather than wait on the side.
7. Casino Marbella
Casino Marbella is in the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella building, outside the marina itself. The current official hours are 11:00–05:00 for the slots area and 21:00–05:00 for the gaming room.
Guests must be over 18 and show original valid photographic identification; photocopies are not accepted. Swimwear, men’s vests, flip-flops, sunglasses, hats and bulky items are prohibited. The casino can also refuse anyone who is intoxicated or behaving disruptively, and photographs and video are not permitted inside.
Only include the casino if everyone attending is comfortable with gambling. Agree individual spending limits beforehand, and ask whether a large stag party needs to give advance notice.
8. A low-cost marina and beach afternoon
Not every gap needs another booking. Guests staying locally can use Playa Levante, walk around the marina and stop for food or drinks. This is more practical than travelling across the coast for a short activity.
The beach and marina are public spaces, not a private party area. Avoid drinking games or behaviour that disturbs other visitors, and choose a meeting place because a large party can easily split between the beach, shops and bars.
Activities close to Puerto Banús that require a taxi
These are useful nearby options, but none is in the marina.
Padel at Real Club Padel Marbella
Real Club Padel Marbella is on Calle Río Amazonas, west of Puerto Banús. It has six outdoor courts, with no more than four players on each.
Current court prices are €36 for one hour, €54 for 90 minutes and €72 for two hours. A private class costs €65 for up to two people, with up to two additional participants at €20 each. A stag tournament needs several courts, so ask whether they can be booked together and confirm racket hire, balls, coaching, showers and the rain policy.
Golf practice in Nueva Andalucía
The Range Marbella is a Trackman-equipped practice range and academy in Nueva Andalucía. It is easier to manage than a full round for a party with mixed ability and gives beginners a way to take part without spending most of the day on a course.
Current individual prices include a one-hour adult private lesson at €65, a Trackman Studio lesson at €80 and RoboGolfPro at €100. Adult group lessons are priced on request. Confirm the number of bays or players available, club hire, balls, coaching format, dress requirements and total booking time.
Paintball above the Golden Mile
Fuerte de Nagüeles is normally around 10–15 minutes from Puerto Banús in ordinary traffic. It is a competitive outdoor stag activity, but it is not in Puerto Banús.
The current adult price is €20 per person for players aged 13 and over, with a minimum group of 12. It includes the marker, mask, protective vest, gloves, clean coverall, 100 paintballs and civil-liability insurance. Extra batches of 100 cost €6. Paintball involves running, heat and possible bruising, so check injuries and mobility before collecting payment and arrange transport for the whole party.
Activities that involve a longer journey
Karting at Funny Hill in Ojén and a full round at Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort in east Marbella can still work, but both take the party away from Puerto Banús. Keep them for a trip where the activity matters more than staying local, and allow for the return journey before committing to dinner or club entry.
Where to eat with a stag group
Jack’s Smokehouse: the practical first choice
Jack’s Smokehouse is an informal marina restaurant with burgers, smoked meats, salads and sharing dishes. Metro Grupo says its upper level can hold up to 160 people, but this describes the space rather than a guaranteed capacity for a stag booking.
Current group menus are:
San Francisco: €42 per person, with shared starters and a choice of main; dessert can be added for €8.
Atlanta: €56 per person, including one beer, house wine or soft drink; dessert can be added for €8.
Miami: €69 per person, with shared starters and mains plus dessert and coffee.
Ask which menus are available on the date, whether everyone must use the same one, where the table will be, the deposit, dietary arrangements, payment method and deadline for final numbers. Acceptance of a stag table does not imply acceptance of drinking games or explicit props.
Other marina restaurants
Mumtaz: Indian curries, tandoor grills and biryanis suit a relaxed shared meal. Metro Grupo’s current venue listing says that reservations are not accepted in August, so confirm directly before including it in an August plan.
Red Pepper: Greek dishes, charcoal-grilled food and seafood that work well for sharing. Current set menus are €65 and €75 per person.
Chow: Asian dishes, sushi and cocktails on Calle Muelle Ribera. Its public site does not publish a standard stag menu or group policy, so request the latest information directly.
Leone: A more polished marina restaurant that may suit a mixed-age party better than a group looking for a very informal dinner.
All restaurant recommendations in this guide are Metro Grupo venues. Give the real party size and describe the occasion honestly when asking for terms.
Nomad: make dinner the event
Nomad in Nueva Andalucía combines dinner with entertainment. Its current terms apply a €70-per-person minimum spend to reservations from 15 June. Parties of more than eight require a €30-per-person prepaid deposit, refundable with at least 48 hours’ notice, while groups above 12 must contact the restaurant directly.
Nomad suits a stag group willing to spend more and make dinner the main evening booking. It is a poor fit for a tight budget or a plan with an early club-entry deadline. The official site recommends smart attire, and a taxi is needed from the marina. Confirm the entertainment on the chosen date rather than assuming the same schedule runs throughout the year.
Puerto Banús nightlife for stag groups
Start with a flexible marina night
Joys Live is a live-music venue rather than a nightclub. It currently lists terrace music from 21:30, indoor music from 23:30 and opening until 03:00. Reserving a table is optional; the published condition is one bottle of spirits or champagne for every four guests.
Joys can work for a mixed-age stag or a party that wants music without committing to a nightclub ticket. Ask how the table condition applies to non-drinkers and a headcount that is not divisible by four.
Arrange the main club night in advance
TIBU is an event-led nightclub behind the marina. Its current summer calendar includes urban, hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeats, Amapiano, house and French-urban nights. The music, price and entry conditions depend on the specific event.
Funky Buddha is a nightclub on Calle Muelle Ribera. Its main page currently lists opening from 01:00 to 06:00 on Thursday and from 01:00 to 07:00 on Friday and Saturday. Ticket, guest-list and VIP-table arrangements vary by night.
For either club, give reservations the true number of men and obtain written acceptance before buying tickets or paying for a table. Confirm the minimum age, original ID, dress code, stag accessories, entry deadline, table spend, deposit and cancellation terms in the same exchange. A table does not override the door or behaviour rules.
Do not split the party into false smaller bookings or describe it as a birthday to avoid a stag policy. That can leave some guests refused with no practical alternative.
A realistic three-day Puerto Banús stag plan
Friday: arrival, Jack’s and marina bars
Transfer from the airport, check in and leave time to buy water and supplies. Book Jack’s for an early group dinner, then use Joys or the marina bars for a flexible first evening. Save the paid club booking for Saturday.
Saturday: one main activity and one main night
Keep the daytime plan local. Choose a morning or early-afternoon jet-ski and towable session at Playa Levante, book CostaWaterPark in summer or use Holo VR Zone when the weather is poor. A private Epic Yacht charter is the more relaxed alternative.
Leave time to return to the accommodation, eat, shower and rest. Dinner can be at Red Pepper, Mumtaz or Chow before the selected TIBU or Funky Buddha event, provided the venue has accepted the whole party under one booking.
If the stag specifically wants paintball, make Fuerte de Nagüeles the day’s main excursion and reserve transport with it. Sun, alcohol and a long club night are a poor combination without a proper break.
Sunday: an easy meal and departure
Use Jack’s or Leone for a meal close to the stored luggage. Only add padel if the flight leaves enough time for the session, showers and airport check-in. After checkout and a late night, a lightly planned departure day is usually more useful than another fixed schedule.
See the full Three-Day Marbella Stag Do Itinerary for detailed timings.
What should a Puerto Banús stag budget include?
These published prices show where much of the budget may go:
Jet skis: from €70 for 20 minutes per jet ski, with one or two people on each machine.
Playa Levante towables: from €25 per person; the published three-activity Adrenaline Pack starts at €95 per person and requires direct confirmation.
CostaWaterPark Puerto Banús: €20 for one hour or €40 for a day pass during its published summer season.
Real Club Padel Marbella: €36 per court for one hour, with a maximum of four players per court.
Jack’s group menus: €42, €56 or €69 per person.
Red Pepper set menus: €65 or €75 per person.
Epic Yacht four-hour examples: €1,100 for the Fairline or €1,075 in high season for the Lagoon, both plus 21% VAT.
Nomad: a €70-per-person minimum spend from 15 June under the current terms.
Add accommodation, airport transfers, short activity journeys, club tickets or tables and a taxi contingency. Paintball, karting and full golf also require return transport. Use the listing for the actual travel date rather than an old event price.
Stag-group booking checklist
Confirm that the accommodation explicitly accepts stag groups.
Share the exact address and meeting pin with all guests.
Arrange airport transport with enough luggage capacity.
Choose one main activity and reserve any transport it requires.

Check the ID, age, dress and last-entry rules.
Request totals including VAT, deposits, service charges and optional extras.
Agree the watersports, yacht or club-table budget before collecting money.
Tell activity providers about weak swimmers, injuries and relevant medical conditions.
Keep one indoor backup with confirmed simultaneous capacity.
Nominate a sober contact for each timed activity and journey.
