Puerto Banús is an easy place to organise a hen or stag meal without adding another transfer to the day. Every restaurant in this guide is a Metro Grupo venue in or beside the marina, so a party staying centrally can usually walk between dinner, the waterfront bars and its later nightlife booking.

This is deliberately a local restaurant guide. It does not include Metro Grupo venues in Marbella, Nueva Andalucía, Mijas Costa or Benalmádena, even when they may suit group bookings. The aim is to help organisers choose somewhere practical before a yacht, live music or a night out in Puerto Banús.

Menus and booking conditions can change. Use these figures for comparison, then ask the venue to confirm the current terms for the party’s date and size.

What matters when booking a Puerto Banús group meal?

A convenient address does not make every venue right for every party. Before collecting money, check:

Party size: eight people are much easier to seat than 20 or 30. Ask whether everyone can sit together and where the table will be.

Budget: a set menu makes collecting payment simpler, but only if drinks, service charges and supplements are clear.

Type of meal: Jack’s is informal, Leone is smarter, Chow is built around Asian plates and sushi, Mumtaz is relaxed, and Red Pepper becomes more energetic later in the evening.

Timing: brunch, yacht departures and club entry all run to fixed times. Leave enough room to finish the meal and settle one group bill.

Dietary requirements: send allergies and dietary needs in advance, particularly for shared menus. Do not wait until the food is being ordered.

Group policy: give the real number of guests and describe the booking as a hen or stag party. Ask about matching outfits, decorations and accessories before arriving with them.

Jack’s Smokehouse: an informal meal for a large group

Jack’s Smokehouse is at Calle Muelle Ribera 22–24. Its menu covers burgers, smoked meats, salads and sharing food, making it easier to manage when tastes and budgets differ.

Metro Grupo states that the upper level holds up to 160 people. That figure describes the space; it is not a guaranteed capacity for a single hen or stag booking. The restaurant still needs to confirm the table layout and comfortable number for the chosen date.

The current group menus are:

San Francisco — €42 per person: shared starters followed by a choice of main. Dessert can be added for €8.

Atlanta — €56 per person: shared starters, a choice of main and one beer, house wine or soft drink per person. Dessert can be added for €8.

Miami — €69 per person: shared starters and main platters, followed by dessert and coffee.

Jack’s is useful before the marina bars or after an Epic Yacht charter because it keeps the evening in Puerto Banús. It is also the most straightforward option here for a large stag party or an informal hen meal.

It will not suit everyone. A party looking for a quiet table or a formal celebration may prefer Leone or Red Pepper. The relaxed setting also does not mean drinking games, explicit props or disruptive behaviour will be accepted.

Ask which menus are available, whether everyone must order the same one, which drinks are included, the table location, dietary alternatives, deposit, cancellation deadline, final-number date and payment method.

Leone Brasserie: brunch and a smarter marina meal

Leone Brasserie is at Calle Ribera, Local 44, on the marina front. Its retractable roof gives groups an open-air feel with some protection when the weather is less reliable.

The current bottomless brunch is available from 10:00 until 12:30:

€40 per person: one brunch dish, a fruit platter and a dessert board, with cava, mimosa, Bloody Mary or espresso martini.

€55 per person: the same food format with Moët & Chandon Brut, Bloody Mary or espresso martini.

The unlimited drinks run for 90 minutes. A 10% service charge currently applies to groups of ten or more. The restaurant also publishes set menus at €45 and €65 per person, although availability and any minimum group size should be confirmed.

Leone is particularly useful for a hen brunch, a mixed-age party or a smarter meal that still leaves the group close to the marina. The timing is the main drawback: it is not a late brunch, and 90 minutes of unlimited drinks is a poor lead-in to an immediate yacht departure. It may also be poor value when several guests do not drink alcohol.

Ask about an alcohol-free alternative, the current menu, table position, service charge, allergy arrangements, whether everyone must use the same package, card or no-show conditions and changes to the final number.

Chow: Asian plates, sushi and cocktails

Chow is at Calle Muelle Ribera 14E. It works best for a party happy to order several dishes for the table rather than follow a fixed three-course format.

Current menu examples include edamame at €8.50, small plates mainly between €10 and €18, a nine-piece dim sum platter at €24.50 and a starter platter for sharing at €37. Eight-piece maki rolls are generally €19–€23, the 24-piece mixed sushi platter is €59 and main dishes range from €18 to €58.

These are individual dish prices, not a per-person package. The total can rise quickly once cocktails, premium dishes and extra plates are added, and the bill is harder to split than a fixed menu.

Chow suits a hen dinner built around cocktails and sharing food, or a party that wants to remain close to the marina bars. It is less convenient when the organiser needs an exact cost in advance. The menu also contains common allergens including soy, sesame, nuts, shellfish and gluten, so detailed requirements should be sent before the booking.

Ask whether the restaurant can arrange a set or pre-selected sharing menu, how allergies are handled, the table layout, deposit, pre-ordering, final-number deadline and split-payment policy.

Mumtaz: Indian food and a relaxed dinner

Mumtaz is at Benabola, Casa A, No. 7, and has operated in Puerto Banús since 1980. Its menu covers curries, tandoor dishes, biryanis and sharing platters.

Current vegetarian curries are €18.95. Chicken curries are around €26–€26.50, lamb curries €27–€28.50 and fish or prawn curries €33–€36.50. Biryanis and pulav dishes range from €28 to €46, while the mixed meat grill platter is €42.50.

Mumtaz can work well for a relaxed stag dinner, a mixed-age party or guests who would rather share food than book an alcohol-led package. It is also one of the clearer choices for vegetarians, although individual allergies still need to be discussed with the restaurant.

The main complication is August. Metro Grupo’s current venue directory says that Mumtaz does not accept reservations during that month, while the restaurant website includes a booking link. Obtain a direct answer before building an August itinerary around it.

Ask about the August policy, group menus, spice levels, allergy handling, table arrangement, deposit, pre-ordering, final numbers and payment method.

Red Pepper: Greek sharing food and a busier evening

Red Pepper is at Calle Ribera 4. The menu centres on Greek dishes, mezze, seafood and food from the charcoal grill, with much of it suited to sharing. The restaurant describes the evening as beginning in a relaxed way and becoming busier later.

Two set menus are currently published at €65 and €75 per person. The €65 menu includes shared starters, a choice of main and a choice of dessert. Do not treat drinks, service or dietary substitutions as included unless they appear in the group’s written confirmation.

Red Pepper works for a social hen dinner or a stag party wanting something more structured than Jack’s. It is a higher-cost option and may not suit anyone expecting a quiet table later in the evening.

Ask which set menu is available, what drinks and service are included, where the table will be, whether music or entertainment is scheduled for the date, the decoration rules, deposit, cancellation terms and final-number deadline.

Live music after dinner: Joys Live

Joys Live is at Calle Muelle Ribera, Casa 1. It is a live-music and cocktail venue, not a restaurant or nightclub, but its marina location makes it a practical continuation after dinner at any of the restaurants above.

The venue’s current website lists opening until 03:00, with terrace music from 21:30 and indoor music from 23:30. It advertises live performances every night, although the artist and running times should still be checked for the chosen date.

A table is optional. The published reservation condition is one bottle of spirits or champagne for every four guests. Ask how the rule works for a headcount that is not divisible by four and whether an alcohol-free arrangement is available.

Which restaurants suit hen groups?

Leone for brunch: the published package gives the organiser a clear format, provided the early finishing time suits the day’s plans.

Chow for cocktails and sharing food: a good fit when the meal is part of the night out and the party is comfortable ordering for the table.

Red Pepper for a structured celebration dinner: the set menus make the meal easier to organise, although it is one of the more expensive choices.

Jack’s for a large, informal party: useful when food preferences and budgets differ, but not the place for a quiet celebration meal.

Mumtaz for mixed ages or a calmer evening: a better fit when the night is not centred on brunch packages or cocktails.

Joys can follow any of these meals when the party wants live music without committing to nightclub entry.

Which restaurants suit stag groups?

Jack’s for a straightforward large booking: the broad menu and published group options make it the clearest starting point.

Mumtaz for curries, grills and sharing: well suited to a relaxed dinner that does not rely on a formal set menu.

Red Pepper for a more organised main night: a good fit when the party accepts the set-menu cost and wants dinner to feel like a larger part of the evening.

Leone for a mixed-age stag: smarter than Jack’s and still close to the marina, but the brunch package will not suit every group.

Chow before cocktails or clubbing: practical for a party that likes Asian food and wants to stay within the marina area.

No restaurant automatically accepts every hen or stag booking. Give the true headcount, occasion and details of any planned accessories when enquiring.

Walking and transport

Jack’s, Leone, Chow, Mumtaz, Red Pepper and Joys are all in Puerto Banús. When the accommodation is genuinely beside the marina, the party can normally walk between dinner and the next venue.

Accommodation advertised as “Puerto Banús” may actually be in Nueva Andalucía or further inland. Approximate road times in ordinary traffic are:

Nueva Andalucía: around 5–15 minutes, depending on the exact address.

San Pedro de Alcántara: around 10–15 minutes.

Golden Mile: around 10–20 minutes.

Marbella centre: around 15–25 minutes.

Cancelada: around 20–30 minutes.

These are planning estimates, not fixed transfer times. Summer traffic, events and late-night demand can extend the journey. Use the accommodation’s exact pin when requesting a taxi or minibus.

Sample Puerto Banús group plans

Yacht and an informal dinner

Take an Epic Yacht charter from the marina, return to the accommodation to change, then eat at Jack’s. This is a simple combination for a large stag party or a hen group that does not want a formal dinner.

Brunch and a relaxed evening

Book Leone’s morning brunch, keep the afternoon loose, then choose Mumtaz for dinner and finish at Joys. Avoid putting a long yacht charter immediately after 90 minutes of unlimited drinks.

Dinner before a club

Use Chow or Red Pepper for the main meal, then walk to the party’s confirmed Puerto Banús nightlife booking. Check the restaurant timing against the club’s entry deadline and leave time to settle one bill.

Group-booking checklist

Before paying, ask:

Does the restaurant accept a hen or stag party of this size?

Can everyone sit together, and in which part of the restaurant?

Is a set menu compulsory?

What is included in the quoted price?

Are VAT, service and drinks included?

Is there a deposit or minimum spend?

When are the final numbers and balance due?

What happens if one or two guests cancel?

Can the bill be split, or must the organiser make one payment?

How are allergies, dietary requirements and alcohol-free guests handled?

Are sashes, veils, matching outfits, fancy dress or explicit accessories permitted?

What are the arrival deadline, no-show rules and cancellation terms?

Keep the answers in writing. Conditions supplied for one date or season may not apply to another.
