Marbella stag activities are spread across a wider area than they first appear. Paintball is above the Golden Mile, karting is in Ojén, canyoning takes place near Benahavís, buggy tours leave from Estepona and golf or watersports may be east of Marbella. The activity itself can be good value while the group transfer adds time and cost.
Start with the number of participants, the lowest realistic fitness level and the amount everyone is prepared to spend. Check whether the group needs exclusive use, how many people can take part at once and whether anybody intends to drive. For a three-day stag weekend, one substantial activity on the second day is generally enough.
Prices and operating details below were taken from current provider websites on the date shown. They can change. Confirm the final price, availability, group limit, deposit, equipment and cancellation conditions directly before paying.
Quick stag-activity chooser
For a competitive group: Paintball, karting or a coached padel tournament.
For a physically active group: Canyoning or paintball.
For a driving-based activity: An off-road buggy tour or karting, with no alcohol beforehand.
For a relaxed stag group: Golf, a private Epic yacht or padel at an easy pace.
For non-drinkers: Paintball, canyoning, karting, buggies, golf, padel, watersports and escape rooms all work without alcohol.
For a group of at least 12: Paintball has a published minimum of 12; larger groups should check simultaneous capacity for every other activity.
Outside summer: Canyoning, buggies, golf, padel and indoor competitive activities are generally more dependable than beach plans.
For rain: Escape rooms, virtual reality, bowling or other indoor games are the clearest backups.
1. Paintball at Fuerte de Nagüeles
Paintball is one of the strongest stag activities because it is competitive, easy to organise around teams and does not require previous experience. At Fuerte de Nagüeles, players use compressed-air markers and protective equipment on an outdoor woodland field of roughly 5,000 square metres.
The current 2026 adult price is €20 per person for participants aged 13 and over, with a minimum group of 12. The price includes the marker, mask, protective vest, gloves, clean coverall, 100 paintballs and civil-liability insurance. Additional batches of 100 paintballs are listed at €6. The operator gives an approximate playing time of one hour to one hour and 15 minutes, depending on the group and reloads.
The €20 starting price may not be the final spend. Competitive players can use the first 100 paintballs quickly, so agree how reloads will be paid for before the game begins.
Who it suits: Competitive groups of at least 12 who are comfortable running, crouching and spending time outdoors.
Who it may not suit: Guests with mobility problems, injuries, a strong objection to bruising or poor tolerance of heat. Protective clothing can become uncomfortable during a hot summer session.
Location and transport: Fuerte de Nagüeles, above the Golden Mile. A pre-booked minibus or coordinated taxis are normally easier than expecting everybody to arrive separately.
Before booking: Confirm availability, start time, total time on site, footwear, changing facilities, the format of the games, heat and severe-weather procedures, payment schedule and how additional paintballs are purchased.
Short pairing: Jack's Smokehouse in Puerto Banús is particularly practical after paintball because the atmosphere is informal and the menu is broad. A stag group should still reserve and ask for the current group-booking details.
2. Karting at Funny Hill
Karting gives the group a clear competition without taking the entire day. Funny Hill in Ojén currently publishes adult sessions at €25 for eight minutes, €45 for 16 minutes and €60 for 24 minutes. It also advertises exclusive track hire for groups, with the price supplied on request.
The session length refers to driving time, not the full visit. Registration, the safety briefing, grid organisation and waiting between heats make the outing longer. A stag group wanting a proper result should request a race format with qualifying and a final rather than buying unrelated individual sessions.
Who it suits: Competitive groups wanting an activity that is straightforward to understand and does not require high fitness.
Who it may not suit: Guests who cannot safely fit or control a kart, have relevant medical restrictions or plan to drink beforehand. The circuit is outdoors and operation can be affected by rain.
Allow: Ask for the total time on site. The published eight-, 16- and 24-minute options cover driving only.
Location and transport: Ojén, north-east of central Marbella. Organised return transport is sensible for a group travelling together.
Before booking: Confirm driver requirements, height or weight limits, footwear, the number of karts racing at once, group-race format, total duration, exclusivity, weather policy, deposit and cancellation terms.
3. Off-road buggy tour near Estepona
An off-road buggy tour combines shared driving with mountain views, dirt tracks and connecting roads. Marbella Buggys departs from Río Padrón in Estepona, not from central Marbella or Puerto Banús.
Its current website publishes these per-buggy prices:
Two-hour tour: €145 for a two-seater or €235 for a four-seater.
Three-hour tour: €189 for a two-seater or €280 for a four-seater.
One-hour sunset tour from June to September: €120 for a two-seater or €150 for a four-seater.
Listed inclusions are a briefing, guided drive, photo stops, water and on-site support. Goggles and bandanas are available to rent or buy rather than clearly included. Drivers must be at least 18 and have a valid driving licence. Because the price is per buggy, the cost per person depends on how the group shares the vehicles.
Who it suits: Groups happy to get dusty and share driving or passenger time.
Who it may not suit: Guests with back problems, anyone expecting every participant to drive, or groups based in east Marbella who do not want a long transfer.
Allow: One to three hours for the tour, plus check-in, briefing and transport.
Location and transport: Río Padrón, east of Estepona. Cancelada is relatively convenient; Marbella centre and east Marbella require more travel. Arrange the return journey before leaving.
Before booking: Confirm who may drive, accepted licences, whether drivers can swap, the security deposit, insurance excess, clothing, goggles, route, weather policy and expected return time. Nobody driving should drink alcohol beforehand.
4. Canyoning in the Guadalmina river
Canyoning combines walking, swimming, scrambling, natural slides and optional jumps or abseiling. It gives an active stag group a proper shared challenge without requiring previous canyoning experience, but everybody must be honest about swimming ability, mobility and medical conditions.
Marbella Adventures currently publishes a three-hour Benahavís river-walk tour at €40 per person for ages eight to 65. Participants must be able to swim and have reasonable mobility. Optional features include jumps and a six-metre rappel. The operator lists an English-speaking licensed guide, canyoning equipment, water boots, water, wetsuits and GoPro photographs and videos as included.
Wet weather does not automatically make canyoning safe or suitable. Heavy rain and unsafe water levels may force the guide to alter or cancel the activity.
Who it suits: Active groups that can swim and are willing to spend several hours wet and moving over uneven ground.
Who it may not suit: Non-swimmers, guests with poor mobility, relevant medical conditions or anybody uncomfortable in moving water.
Location and transport: The Guadalmina river near Benahavís. The provider describes it as roughly 15 minutes from Puerto Banús, but the exact meeting point must be confirmed. A minibus helps the group arrive together.
Before booking: Confirm private-group availability, the meeting pin, medical exclusions, current water conditions, transport, group limit, footwear, cancellation terms and what happens if the guide stops the activity for safety reasons.
5. Golf day
Golf is best for a stag group that already plays. A full 18 holes takes much of the day once travel, check-in, equipment collection and separate tee times are included. Complete beginners may get more from a lesson, driving-range session or nine holes.
Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort is the renamed Marbella Golf Country Club at A-7 kilometre 188 in east Marbella. Its 2026 rates list 18 holes with a shared buggy at €110 in low season and €139 in high season. Nine holes with a shared buggy are listed at €67 and €85. An 18-hole club set is €45 or €55 depending on the model. Groups of eight or more are asked to request a group price.
The published high-season periods are 1 March to 24 May and 7 September to 15 November 2026. Replace these dates and prices when the next annual rates are published.
Who it suits: Existing golfers who understand course etiquette and do not mind splitting into separate tee times.
Who it may not suit: A large group of non-golfers or anyone expecting loud stag behaviour to be accepted on the course.
Allow: Most of the day for 18 holes; confirm the expected duration for nine holes or a lesson.
Location and transport: East Marbella. Groups staying in Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro or Cancelada should arrange return transport.
Before booking: Confirm handicap requirements, dress code, tee-time spacing, group rate, buggy allocation, club and shoe hire, pace-of-play rules, deposit and cancellation policy.
6. Padel tournament in San Pedro de Alcántara
Padel is easier to fit into a weekend than a full golf day. Four people use each court, so a group can reserve several courts, rotate pairs and run a short tournament. Beginners will get more from the session if a coach explains the scoring, walls and basic shots first.
Nueva Alcántara Club in San Pedro takes court bookings online and advertises group training with bilingual coaching. Its public pages do not clearly publish a casual non-member court price, racket hire, group coaching price or stag package.
Who it suits: Competitive groups with mixed experience who want a shorter sport session.
Who it may not suit: Guests with knee, ankle or shoulder problems and anyone expecting an indoor rain-proof activity; the courts are outdoors.
Allow: Roughly 90 minutes to two hours, depending on the tournament format confirmed by the club.
Location and transport: San Pedro de Alcántara. It is relatively close to Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía and Cancelada but requires a taxi from most accommodation.
Before booking: Ask for the number of courts, court duration, coaching, rackets and balls, footwear, changing facilities, total price, payment terms and rain policy.
7. Jet skis and competitive watersports
Jet skis, banana boats and towable rides suit a stag group wanting a short, high-energy activity. The key question is simultaneous capacity: if only a few machines or places are available, most of the group may spend the session waiting on the beach.
Marbella JetSki at Playa de las Dunas currently publishes these VAT-inclusive prices:
Jet-ski circuit: €70 for 20 minutes or €90 for 30 minutes per jet ski. Two people can share and swap drivers.
Banana boat: €25 per person for 15 minutes, listed for two to eight participants.
Crazy Sofa, Crazy Bull, Air Stream and donut ride: €25 per person for roughly ten minutes, with published limits of two to six.
Stand-up paddleboard: €25 for one hour.
Double kayak: €30 for one hour for two people.
Riders must be at least 18. Its main season is May to October, with possible operation on suitable off-season days.
Who it may not suit: Non-swimmers, guests with relevant back, neck or joint problems, anybody uncomfortable in open water or a group based far west of Marbella.
Location and transport: Playa de las Dunas in east Marbella. Arrange return transport if the group is staying in Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro or Cancelada.
Before booking: Confirm swimming and medical restrictions, valid identification, available machines, whether the group can participate together, changing and storage facilities, weather policy and cancellation terms. This provider is included for watersports only; all boat charters in this content must use Epic Yacht Marbella.
8. Private yacht from Puerto Banús
A yacht suits a stag group that wants a social afternoon rather than another competitive activity. It allows time for swimming, music within the boat's rules and drinks included in the selected charter. It is not automatically a floating nightclub, and each vessel has a firm licensed guest limit.
Epic Yacht Marbella is the only recommended boat provider in this guide. Two current published options are:
The Fairline Targa 43 takes up to 11 guests. Prices are listed at €700 for two hours, €1,100 for four hours and €1,800 for eight hours, plus 21% VAT. The listed package includes crew, fuel at nine knots, water, soft drinks, beer, white wine, cava, a light snack, snorkelling equipment, a paddleboard and one Seabob.
The Lagoon 450 catamaran takes up to 12 guests. From May to September, published prices are €750 for two hours, €1,075 for four hours, €1,570 for six hours and €1,990 for eight hours, plus 21% VAT. Lower October-to-April rates are also published. Listed inclusions include the crew, fuel at nine knots, drinks, a light snack, snorkelling equipment, a paddleboard and a kayak.
Who it suits: A smaller stag party looking for a relaxed coastal activity and comfortable sharing the cost of a private charter.
Who it may not suit: Groups above the licensed limit, anyone prone to severe seasickness, guests with boarding difficulties or a group expecting unrestricted drinking and behaviour.
Location and transport: Puerto Banús. Groups staying in the port may walk to the berth; everybody else should travel together and allow time to find the meeting point.
Before booking: Confirm the exact boat, legal capacity, berth, boarding time, final VAT-inclusive total, deposit, permitted alcohol, music, toilet and cabin access, swimming stops, water toys, weather decision process and cancellation terms. Final prices and conditions must be confirmed directly with Epic.
9. Escape rooms, virtual reality and indoor competition
Indoor competitive activities are useful outside summer and when the weather changes. They are also easier on guests who do not want a physical outdoor activity, although large groups must check how many people can play at once.
Arkham Escape Rooms Marbella in central Marbella currently advertises rooms lasting approximately 90 and 105 minutes for two to six players. A larger stag party would need parallel rooms or another group format confirmed directly. No dependable current price was visible on its public page.
Holo VR Zone near Puerto Banús advertises virtual-reality games, VR escape rooms, arcade activities and group or stag events. Its website lists opening from 12:00 to 22:00 daily but does not publish a clear adult group price, duration or maximum capacity.
Pause&Play at La Cañada lists bowling, billiards, darts and table football. Clear current activity and group prices were not found on its public page.
Who it may not suit: A large group if the venue cannot offer simultaneous play. VR can also have health or motion-sickness restrictions.
Before booking: Confirm how many guests play at once, whether the space is exclusive, game language, duration, age or medical restrictions, accessibility, total price, deposit and cancellation policy.
Wet-weather alternatives for a stag party
Rain can stop or delay karting, padel, buggies, watersports and boats. Heavy rain or unsafe water levels can also cancel canyoning. Ask the outdoor provider what happens before paying and keep one indoor option that can genuinely take the group.
The most realistic backups are:
Parallel escape rooms at Arkham, if enough rooms and start times are available.
A group VR session at Holo VR Zone, subject to simultaneous capacity.
Bowling, billiards, darts or table football at Pause&Play, with the current group price confirmed.
A shorter meal or sports-viewing plan at Jack's Smokehouse, if the relevant fixture and screen arrangement are confirmed. This is a fallback rather than a substitute for a full activity.
Do not describe canyoning as a general rainy-day option. The provider must decide whether river conditions are safe. A disappointing forecast is also not necessarily the same as the operator cancelling, so the written weather terms matter.
Planning activities and transport
Approximate driving times
These are estimates in normal traffic, not guaranteed transfer times. Summer weekends, roadworks and late-afternoon traffic may add considerably to the journey.
| Activity area | Marbella centre | Puerto Banús | Nueva Andalucía | San Pedro | Cancelada |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nagüeles paintball | 10-15 min | 10-15 min | 10-15 min | 15-25 min | 25-35 min |
| Ojén karting | 15-25 min | 25-35 min | 25-40 min | 30-40 min | 40-55 min |
| Benahavís canyoning | 25-35 min | 15-25 min | 20-30 min | 10-20 min | 20-30 min |
| Río Padrón buggies | 30-40 min | 25-35 min | 25-35 min | 20-30 min | 10-20 min |
| East Marbella golf/watersports | 10-20 min | 25-35 min | 25-40 min | 35-45 min | 45-60 min |
| Puerto Banús yacht | 15-25 min | Walk or short taxi | 5-15 min | 10-15 min | 20-30 min |
Always use the provider's exact meeting pin. For paintball, canyoning, karting and buggies, a pre-booked minibus is normally more reliable than several taxis because the group must arrive together. Confirm whether the vehicle waits or returns later.
Clothing and footwear
Wear secure trainers for paintball, karting, padel and buggy tours.
Use the canyoning provider's footwear instructions rather than arriving in flip-flops.
Bring swimwear, sunscreen, a towel, requested ID and dry clothes for watersports or a yacht.
Wear clothes that can get dusty on a buggy tour.
Follow the golf club's dress and footwear rules.
Bring a change of clothing if the next booking is a meal or evening venue.
Fitness, age and medical restrictions
Paintball involves running, crouching and possible bruising. Canyoning requires independent swimming and reasonable mobility. Padel can aggravate knee, ankle or shoulder problems. Karting, buggies, watersports and VR may have size, age, medical or motion restrictions.
Send the provider relevant medical, mobility and age information before paying. The provider should determine whether participation is safe.
Identification and driving licences
Marbella Buggys requires drivers to be at least 18 and hold a valid driving licence. Marbella JetSki requests valid identification; its standard supervised activity does not require a boating licence. Golf venues may request handicap information. Confirm exactly which documents are accepted, particularly for UK driving licences.
How far ahead to book
For Friday and Saturday sessions between May and September, begin enquiries several weeks ahead. This is particularly important when paintball must reach its minimum, several buggies or karts are needed, multiple tee times are required or the group wants a specific Epic yacht.
Before paying, confirm the minimum and maximum number, the deadline for changing participants, deposit and final-payment dates, and whether one cancellation changes the price for everybody.
Stag-activity booking checklist
Confirm the provider, activity, date, start time and exact meeting point.
Supply the real number of participants and flag age, fitness, mobility and medical issues.
Request the final total in writing, including VAT, equipment, insurance, transport and likely extras.
Check how many people participate simultaneously rather than only the overall capacity.
Confirm the clothing, footwear, identification and driving licences required.
Establish which guests will drive and make the no-alcohol rule clear beforehand.
Read the deposit, cancellation, no-show and weather terms.
Check what happens if the final number falls below the provider's minimum.
Arrange the return journey as well as the outward transfer.
Reconfirm the booking and weather position shortly before travelling.
