A pool-club day in Marbella can be anything from a quiet sunbed beside the water to a ticketed party with guest DJs and strict entry rules. Before choosing a venue, decide what matters most: the pool, music, beach access, food or location.
Then work out the full cost. A bed price may cover the bed alone, include fixed bottles or come with an additional minimum spend. Check how many guests it covers and whether the venue has accepted the complete hen or stag group for that date.
This guide starts with Max Beach because it combines a pool, beach and food in one venue. It is in Riviera del Sol, Mijas Costa, not Marbella, so groups staying around Marbella or Puerto Banús need to include the road transfer in their plans. The other venues are in Nueva Andalucía, near Puerto Banús or in east Marbella.
Start with the type of pool day
| The group wants... | Good place to start | Why | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pool, beach and most of the day in one venue | Max Beach | Pool beds, beach beds, food, drinks and selected events | It is in Mijas Costa and requires a road transfer from Marbella |
| A large Puerto Banús pool party | Ocean Club | Saltwater pool, DJs and promoted events | High bed-package prices and strict dress rules |
| A pool-and-beach day near Puerto Banús | La Sala by the Sea | Pool and beach beds, DJs and an explicit policy welcoming hen and stag groups | Event days can be quite different from an ordinary weekday |
| Music and dancing rather than a beach day | NAÔ or Mogli | The pool and DJ programme are central to both venues | Neither is a relaxed public swimming pool |
| A calmer east-Marbella day | Lucia Marbella | Pool, direct beach access and a lunch-to-sunset format | It is family-friendly rather than a full-scale hen or stag party venue |
| A formal, higher-budget setting | La Cabane | Pool, sea views and a design-led setting | Strict entry policy; hen and stag uniforms or accessories are not permitted |
Max Beach: pool and beach in one venue
Max Beach works well when the pool day is the main daytime plan. This Metro Grupo venue has an adults-only pool area, beach access, sunbeds, cabanas, poolside service and selected events. The restaurant can be booked separately.
The Riviera del Sol location is convenient for accommodation in Mijas Costa, La Cala, Calahonda or Fuengirola. It is still possible to visit from Marbella or Puerto Banús, but the organiser should budget for both transfers and allow for A-7 traffic.
The official website currently states that:
Pool access is for guests aged 18 and over.
A sunbed booking includes the bed, towel service and pool access.
There is normally no minimum spend in the pool area, although one may apply during special events.
Parties of 11 or more should contact the venue directly.
The pool usually operates from spring to early autumn, with dates affected by weather and events.
The restaurant has a smart-casual dress code and does not permit swimwear.
Bed and cabana prices are controlled by the live booking system, so one figure should not be presented as the rate for the entire season. Special events may also have different prices, spending conditions and entry rules.
Max Beach suits hens planning a long afternoon by the water and stags wanting a slower day after golf or a late night. It is less convenient if the accommodation and evening plans are both in Puerto Banús, as that creates two longer journeys in one day.
Before paying, ask whether the date is an ordinary pool day or an event, how many guests the bed covers, whether any food-and-drink credit is included and when the bed must be claimed. The weather policy also matters. Parties of 11 or more should obtain written confirmation for the full booking before collecting money.
Near Puerto Banús: Ocean Club or La Sala by the Sea?
Both venues combine beds, water and music, but the cost and style of the day are different.
Ocean Club for a major pool-party day
Ocean Club Marbella is beside Puerto Banús on Avenida Lola Flores. It centres on a large saltwater pool, oversized beds and music that builds through the day. Named weekly events, Champagne Parties and other special dates have their own conditions, so check exactly what is running rather than treating every booking as the same pool day.
This is one of the more expensive venues covered here. Ocean Club's official 2026 bed sheet lists packages from €300 to €1,100, depending on the bed type. Fixed bottles are included, but food and additional drinks are not. Some VIP categories also carry a further minimum spend on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and special events. The published additions reach €500 or €1,000, depending on the bed. Champagne Party prices are separate.
Check the capacity of the chosen bed before dividing the cost. Also confirm what bottles are included and whether any minimum spend sits on top of the package price. A €600 package does not mean the full €600 can be used against food and drinks.
Online bed bookings require full pre-payment. Pre-paid beds must be claimed before 16:00, and groups using several beds should email all booking references if they want the venue to place them together. Allocation is handled on a first-paid, first-served basis.
The dress code is described as elegant beachwear. Fancy dress, hen accessories, body glitter, face gems and sportswear are not allowed. Ocean Club describes itself as family-friendly and recommends weekdays for younger children because weekends attract larger groups. Opening and closing parties are strictly for guests aged 18 and over.
Ocean Club can suit a hen party when everyone accepts the cost and dress rules. A stag party should contact the venue before booking several beds, as payment does not by itself confirm that a large all-male party will be admitted together.
Bookings are generally non-refundable. If the club cannot open, its 2026 terms provide for a refund or seasonal credit voucher; other changes follow separate notice conditions. Read the terms attached to the actual reservation before paying.
La Sala by the Sea for a less formal pool-and-beach day
La Sala by the Sea is at Villa Marina near Puerto Banús. It offers both pool and beach beds, giving the organiser more choice than at a pool-only venue. Its current programme includes daily DJs, while some weekend and promoted dates also feature saxophonists, percussionists, dancers or named parties.
La Sala's current FAQ explicitly says that hen and stag groups are welcome, although props and party toys are not. Matching swimsuits are permitted, but fancy dress and body glitter are not. This makes the venue easier to assess than one with no published position on group celebrations, but a large booking should still be agreed directly.
The venue publishes a dated 2026 bed map and price list, with bank holidays and special party days identified separately. Use the document or live booking system for the chosen date. Depending on the day and bed type, the price may be bed hire alone or include prepaid, redeemable food-and-drink credit. Beach beds follow different conditions.
Guests with pool beds currently need to arrive between 11:00 and 12:30; after that, the beds may be released without a refund. Only guests with a bed booking or the correct wristband may use the pool. The venue says the DJ normally starts at about 14:00 and that it closes at around 19:00, although special-event arrangements may differ.
The location can reduce transport for parties staying near Puerto Banús, but not every property marketed under that name is within a sensible walking distance. La Sala is on the beach side of Villa Marina rather than on the marina's main nightlife strip, so check the actual route.
Daily DJs do not make every afternoon a full pool party. Look at the event calendar before promising a particular act, music style or level of entertainment.
Music-led pool clubs: NAÔ and Mogli
NAÔ and Mogli make most sense when music and socialising matter more than beach access. Both have date-specific programmes and tighter entry rules than an ordinary hotel-style pool day.
NAÔ: choose the event first
NAÔ Pool Club is on Calle Los Tilos in Nueva Andalucía. Its programme changes across the week and includes events built around house and electronic music, hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeats, Amapiano, Latin music and old-school tracks. Check the named event rather than assuming the music will be the same every day.
The 2026 bed terms state that every package has a maximum number of guests. No more than two extra guests may be added to a bed, charged at €100 each or €200 each on bank holidays. Packages include fixed bottles that cannot be exchanged; food and further drinks cost extra. Where a bed has an additional minimum spend, it appears on the current pool plan.
Several beds must be booked separately, then linked by emailing the references to the venue. Full pre-payment is required, allocation is first-paid, first-served and beds must be claimed before 14:00 or they may be resold.
The dress policy is particularly important. NAÔ does not permit fancy dress, sportswear, gold chains, body glitter, face gems, hen or stag accessories, matching clothes or coordinated colours. Pool parties, including opening and closing events, are restricted to guests aged 21 and over. Admission remains at the venue's discretion.
There is a separate enquiry form for parties of more than 14, which asks for the age range, budget and whether the group is male, female or mixed. Use that route before booking. Stag shirts will conflict with the published rules, as will coordinated hen outfits or accessories.
NAÔ is better for a music-focused party prepared to commit to the event, cost and dress code. It is not a sensible choice for anyone expecting a quiet swim, a casual arrival or luggage storage; the venue states that it does not store luggage.
Mogli: beds and sofas around the DJ booth
Mogli Marbella is arranged around Balinese beds, sofas, a pool and its DJ booth. Some areas are closer to the music and others sit farther back, so the chosen zone will affect the day.
The official site currently lists opening from 12:00 to 20:00 every day. It recommends arriving by taxi because parking nearby is limited. Sportswear and themed accessories are not allowed.
Check the event calendar and bed-booking system together. A standard date and a guest-artist event may have different prices, entry arrangements and availability. The public pages do not give one dependable bed price, minimum spend, maximum group size or cancellation policy, so request the complete terms before paying.
Mogli suits hens or stags who want music, dancing and a bed or sofa near the action. It is less suitable for a quieter mixed-age party or anyone wanting a beach day. Large groups should confirm that the full party will be accepted and clarify whether tickets and bed bookings provide the same access. Use the meeting pin supplied with the reservation rather than relying on an address copied from an unofficial listing.
East Marbella: Lucia or La Cabane?
East Marbella works better for a destination pool day than for a party planning to walk into Puerto Banús afterwards. Lucia and La Cabane both combine a pool with beach access, but the setting and entry expectations are quite different.
Lucia Marbella for a calmer, mixed-age day
Lucia Marbella is at Don Carlos in east Marbella. It combines a restaurant, bar, pool and direct beach access and currently opens from 11:00 to 19:00. The official website presents it as a family- and pet-friendly beach club with resident DJs and live music.
That makes Lucia more suitable for a relaxed or mixed-age celebration than a loud adults-only pool party. Music is part of the day, but it should not be described as the east-Marbella version of a major NAÔ or Ocean Club event.
The public page does not give a clear pool-bed price, minimum spend or policy for large hen and stag groups. Ask the venue whether non-residents can book the required area, whether the full party can be placed together and what entertainment is confirmed for the chosen date. Families and children may be present.
Lucia's restaurant is mentioned to explain how the beach club operates; it is not a separate restaurant recommendation. This website's dining recommendations remain limited to Metro Grupo venues.
La Cabane for a smaller group and a more formal setting
La Cabane is a pool and beach club on Calle Jabalí in east Marbella. The Dolce & Gabbana-designed pool area and formal presentation are a better match for a smaller party that cares more about the surroundings than games, matching outfits or a loud pool party.
The published entry rules are strict. Sportswear is not permitted, entry remains at management's discretion, and hen or stag paraphernalia, uniforms and matching clothing are prohibited. The current official contact page says that only children over 16 are accepted in the pool area. It lists daily opening from 12:00 to 20:00.
The public website does not show a stable bed price or group limit in its accessible text. Identify the occasion before paying, especially for a stag party or a larger hen group, and request the current pool-booking and cancellation terms in writing.
La Cabane's restaurant is mentioned only as part of the venue. It is not one of this website's restaurant recommendations, which are limited to Metro Grupo businesses.
Which pool club suits a hen group?
Choose Max Beach for a long pool-and-beach day in one place, especially if the accommodation is west of Marbella. Groups based around Puerto Banús need to decide whether the extra travel is worth it.
La Sala by the Sea is a practical option near Puerto Banús because its current FAQ welcomes hen groups and explains the rules on matching swimwear, props and pool access. Check the date before booking, as a weekday and a promoted party will feel different.
Choose Ocean Club for a higher-budget Puerto Banús event when everyone is comfortable with the cost and appearance rules. Leave veils, sashes, glitter and other hen accessories at the accommodation.
NAÔ and Mogli suit groups choosing by music. Find the right event first, then book the bed or sofa. Coordinated outfits are not permitted at NAÔ, while Mogli bans themed accessories.
Lucia works better for a calmer, mixed-age day. La Cabane is the more formal option for a smaller party prepared to follow its dress and presentation rules. Neither should be booked on the assumption that it offers a traditional hen-party atmosphere.
Which pool club suits a stag group?
Large all-male parties should speak to the venue before buying beds or tickets. An online reservation may not settle the group-admission policy.
Max Beach is a practical starting point for a relaxed stag pool day. Parties of 11 or more are directed to the venue's booking team, so state the occasion and chosen area when making the enquiry.
La Sala by the Sea explicitly welcomes stag groups, subject to its rules. Confirm the bed capacity, dress code, entertainment and whether the quoted price includes food-and-drink credit.
NAÔ has a dedicated form for parties above 14 and asks whether the group is male, female or mixed. This is an enquiry route, not guaranteed acceptance. Its ban on matching clothes rules out the usual stag shirts.
Mogli may work for a music-focused stag party that books ahead and follows the dress code. Confirm the venue's position on the full all-male group before paying.
Ocean Club also needs advance contact for a large stag booking. Several paid bed reservations do not override the dress code or door discretion. La Cabane is the least natural fit for a traditional stag day because it prohibits matching attire and party paraphernalia and has a more formal setting.
What does the pool-bed price cover?
Pool clubs use several different charging models:
A bed-hire charge with pool access.
A bed package with fixed bottles.
A bed price plus a separate minimum spend.
An event ticket without a bed.
A table or sofa with different access from a pool bed.
Prepaid food-and-drink credit that must be used on the day.
Ask for the total payable by the entire party, then divide it by the number of guests actually covered. Include tickets, minimum spend, booking fees and transport. Check how much can be used against food or drinks and how much is simply the charge for the bed.
A lower bed price may cost more once the minimum spend is added. A higher package may work out reasonably per person if it covers more guests and includes useful credit. Compare written terms for the same date, not headline figures from different seasons.
Ordinary pool day or special event?
The answer changes the price, music and entry conditions. A normal weekday may have sunbeds, pool service and background music without a ticketed party. A promoted date may add a guest DJ, dancers or live musicians, alongside higher bed charges, tickets, later hours or a stricter age limit.
Use the venue's current calendar rather than an old social-media video. Before booking, ask:
What is the event and what music will be played?
Does each guest need a ticket as well as a place on the bed?
What is the last-entry or bed-claim time?
Does the event have a theme that conflicts with the venue's ban on group costumes?
Will the bed remain available for the full event?
Which food and drinks are included, if any?
What happens if the advertised artist changes?
Do not promise a DJ, saxophonist, dancer or show unless it is confirmed for the exact date.
Transport and choosing the right area
Puerto Banús and Nueva Andalucía: Ocean Club and La Sala by the Sea are the nearest options for parties staying around the marina. NAÔ is in Nueva Andalucía but usually requires a taxi from the port. Check the accommodation address rather than assuming every property advertised as Puerto Banús is walkable.
Golden Mile and central Marbella: None of these venues should automatically be treated as within walking distance. A coordinated taxi or minibus is usually easier for a fixed admission time.
East Marbella: Lucia and La Cabane are more convenient for Elviria, Los Monteros and nearby accommodation. Continuing to Puerto Banús afterwards means another journey across Marbella.
Mijas Costa: Max Beach is well placed for Riviera del Sol and neighbouring resorts. The transfer from Puerto Banús can be lengthy in traffic.
Arrange both journeys before the day. Parking can be limited, and nobody who is drinking should drive. Confirm whether the return company will collect directly outside the venue and whether a later finish changes the fare.
Three realistic pool-day plans
A relaxed hen day at Max Beach
Arrive in the late morning with the booking confirmed and spend the day between the pool and beach. Eat at Max Beach if the group wants to stay in one place, or return to the accommodation with enough time to shower and change before dinner. Check first whether the date is a normal pool day or an event.
A Puerto Banús party day
Book Ocean Club or La Sala by the Sea, not both. Arrive before the bed-claim deadline and keep all references with one organiser. Leave enough time to return to the accommodation before the evening. A second high-spend club booking may be too much after a full pool-party day.
A music-led stag day
Choose the NAÔ or Mogli event by its music, then submit the full group details before buying. Wear normal smart beachwear rather than matching stag clothes. Book the return vehicle and give the driver the exact collection point.
Booking checklist
Decide on the type of day before choosing the venue.
Check whether the date is a normal pool day or a promoted event.
Tell the venue that it is a hen or stag booking.
Get written acceptance for a large all-male or all-female party.
Confirm how many guests each bed, cabana or sofa covers.
Ask for the total bed price, tickets, fees and minimum spend.
Check what can be redeemed against food and drinks.
Send the dress code to every guest.
Leave matching outfits, sashes, veils, glitter and stag accessories behind where they are prohibited.
Confirm the age limit and identification required.
Note the deadline for claiming a pre-paid bed.
