A Marbella beach-club day can mean beds on the sand and a long lunch, or a ticketed event with DJs, a pool and strict entry rules. Decide which version the group wants before comparing venues.

For a relaxed day centred on the beach and food, start with Bono Beach or Sabine Beach. Nikki Beach and Playa Padre make more sense when music is the priority. La Cabane and Marbella Club offer a smarter, quieter setting, but neither is an obvious choice for a traditional hen or stag party.

This guide covers venues where the sea and beachfront setting are central to the day. Ocean Club, NAÔ, Mogli, La Sala by the Sea and Max Beach appear in the separate Marbella pool-club guide because their pools, bed zones and party formats need different planning.

Bono Beach or Sabine Beach: two different east Marbella days

Bono and Sabine are both Metro Grupo venues in east Marbella. Each offers beach beds and restaurant bookings, but the choice is fairly straightforward: Bono is the more relaxed, boho option, while Sabine puts more emphasis on Spanish food and a long lunch.

Bono Beach: the more boho option

Bono Beach is on Playa Arenal in Costa Bella, close to Elviria. Beds sit on the sand near the sea, and the restaurant serves coastal, Mediterranean-style food designed for sharing. The setting is informal rather than glossy or formal.

There is no swimming pool. Guests swim in the sea, so conditions on the beach matter more here than they would at a pool club.

Bono works well when the plan is to stay in one place for most of the day. Reserve enough beds for the group and book a table separately if everyone wants to eat together. Do not assume that a bed includes a restaurant table, towels or credit towards food and drinks unless the confirmation says so.

The website has separate pages for bed bookings, table reservations, a set menu, private events and its entertainment calendar. Music forms part of the venue, but promoted events and its Catch the Sun sessions should be checked by date. A standard afternoon may not have the same DJs, musicians or shows as an advertised event.

For a hen group, Bono offers a sociable beach day without Nikki Beach or La Cabane’s published restrictions on coordinated outfits. It can also work for a stag party that wants lunch, drinks and the sea rather than organised games or a crowded pool event. In either case, disclose the occasion and group size before paying; loud props, drinking games and an unannounced large party are unlikely to go down well.

The public bed page does not show one reliable year-round rate in accessible text. Check the live booking system, then ask how many guests each bed covers, whether towels are included, whether any minimum spend applies and when the bed must be claimed.

Bono’s current bed FAQ allows a reservation date to be changed without penalty with at least 24 hours’ notice. In poor weather, it refers to moving the date or receiving a voucher for Bono or another company venue. Ask how long the voucher lasts and whether special-event bookings follow the same rules.

Best for: relaxed hens, mixed groups and smaller stags that want a proper day on the beach.

Less suitable for: anyone expecting a pool or a high-energy daytime party, and groups based in Puerto Banús that want to avoid a return road transfer.

Sabine Beach: Spanish food by the sea

Sabine Beach is on Playa Real de Zaragoza, also in east Marbella. It describes itself as a contemporary chiringuito and restaurant. Beach beds are available, but the strongest reason to choose it is the combination of the beachfront position and the food.

As at Bono, there is no pool. The day is built around a bed on the beach, swimming in the sea and a restaurant booking.

Sabine is the clearer choice for Spanish and Andalusian flavours. At the time of checking, the menu included salmorejo, Huelva prawn and Ibérico ham croquettes, patatas bravas, Galician octopus and whole fish priced by weight. It also has international dishes, so it is not a traditional chiringuito menu throughout.

This format suits a long lunch followed by drinks or a few hours on the sand. Mixed-age hens, non-drinkers and groups that want to talk over lunch may find it easier than a DJ-led club. Sabine also advertises selected events and yoga by the sea, but these are dated activities rather than part of every booking.

The website currently gives opening hours of 11:00–20:00 on Monday and 11:00–22:30 from Tuesday to Sunday. Kitchen hours are shorter. Recheck both for the chosen date, particularly outside the main season.

The bed page recommends advance booking for Bali beds and groups, but the prices and layout are shown mainly through the booking calendar and images. Ask for the dated rate, bed capacity, minimum spend, towel arrangements, arrival deadline and cancellation terms. Reserve the restaurant separately unless the bed confirmation includes a table.

Best for: food-led hen days, mixed ages and quieter celebrations with Spanish dishes and seafood high on the list.

Less suitable for: groups looking for a large pool, continuous dancing or a named international DJ.

Nikki Beach or Playa Padre: check the music before booking

Nikki Beach and Playa Padre are more event-led. A group can have a very different day depending on the date, so check the calendar before choosing a bed or table.

Nikki Beach Marbella: pool, music and firm entry rules

Nikki Beach Marbella is beside the Don Carlos Hotel at kilometre 192 of the Carretera de Cádiz in east Marbella. It has a restaurant, pool, beach and terrace. The current site lists daily opening from 12:00 to 19:00 for all three main areas.

Its weekly programme changes the music through the week. The 2026 calendar includes Brass & Beats on Tuesday, the Afro-house-led Heatwave on Wednesday, Rewind on Thursday and separate Friday, Saturday and Sunday sessions, as well as larger one-off events. Choose the date by the actual programme rather than the venue name.

Nikki Beach publishes a detailed door policy. Beach-chic resort wear is required, and the following are prohibited:

Hen or stag props and paraphernalia.

Uniforms or matching outfits, including coordinated swimwear.

A group dressed in one colour with the guest of honour in another.

Sportswear and sleeveless shirts for men.

Body glitter, body paint and staining tanning products.

Shoes and cover-ups are required in the dining and bar areas, and men must wear sleeved shirts there. All guests should carry government-issued photographic identification. Pool access is guaranteed only to guests over 18 with a Pool & Beach reservation, while selected special events may be restricted to over-21s. A ticket may also be required for certain events.

Entry remains at management’s discretion, even with a reservation. Nikki Beach can still suit a hen or stag group, but only if everyone is happy to attend as ordinary beach-club guests rather than in coordinated party clothing. Give reservations the real occasion and group make-up before paying. Large all-male groups should obtain written acceptance.

The published cancellation policy asks for written notice at least 24 hours before the reservation. It offers a credit voucher of the same value for use at the Marbella venue during that season; late cancellations and no-shows do not receive a voucher. Prices and event charges vary, so cost the complete booking through the live system.

Best for: hens or mixed groups that want a pool, music and a well-known international beach-club format.

Less suitable for: coordinated outfits, traditional stag clothing, casual sportswear or a group that wants flexible arrival and entry.

Playa Padre: plan the day around the event

Playa Padre is on Playa del Cable, east of Marbella centre. It is a beach club and event venue with a restaurant, terrace, beach area and Balinese beds. The official site places the emphasis on DJs, performances and electronic, tribal and acoustic music rather than treating music as background to a conventional beach day.

Its location is useful for groups based in Marbella centre or the Old Town because it avoids the longer journey to Elviria or Real de Zaragoza. Most parties will still want a taxi, especially for the return journey.

The booking and music pages need to be read together. A normal lunch, a Friday beach booking and a promoted Sunday event may have different prices, performers and entry conditions. The site advertises Boho Sunday and a programme of guest DJs, but a past artist list does not confirm the line-up for a future date.

Playa Padre is a better fit for a music-led hen party or a smaller stag group that has been accepted in advance. It is less suitable for a quiet swim, a traditional Spanish lunch or a group that cannot commit to a set arrival time. Before paying, ask whether the date requires a ticket, whether a bed includes admission, what music is scheduled, and which dress, entry and minimum-spend conditions apply.

The restaurant is mentioned here to explain the beach club’s format; it is not a separate dining recommendation. Restaurant recommendations on this website are limited to Metro Grupo venues.

Best for: groups choosing their beach day around a particular event or DJ.

Less suitable for: quiet celebrations, uncertain attendance or anyone unwilling to accept date-specific entry conditions.

La Cabane or Marbella Club: a smarter, quieter day

Neither venue is a substitute for a rowdy hen or stag beach party. They make more sense for smaller parties that want a smart lunch and time by the sea, and are comfortable checking access and dress rules in advance.

La Cabane: formal and design-led

La Cabane is in Los Monteros in east Marbella. It combines a beachfront position with a pool, Balinese beds and interiors designed in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana. The tone is more formal than Bono or Sabine, and groups should expect to budget accordingly once the dated bed package has been confirmed.

The venue has previously published restrictions on sportswear, hen and stag accessories, uniforms and matching attire, with entry left to management’s discretion. Its current public Beach Club page confirms the pool and bed format but does not display the full door, age and cancellation conditions in accessible text. Ask for the current policy in writing before paying, particularly if the group is all male or plans to dress alike.

La Cabane is most plausible for a smaller hen or mixed party that wants a smart day by the sea. It is a poor fit for a traditional stag group in coordinated clothing, although that does not amount to a published ban on every stag booking. Be open about the occasion and ask the venue to confirm acceptance.

The site does not publish one stable bed rate, minimum spend or group limit. Confirm the total prepaid amount, bed capacity, usable food-and-drink credit, pool access, arrival time, cancellation rules and current age policy directly.

The restaurant is included to describe the venue, not as a separate dining recommendation.

Best for: smaller hens and mixed groups that want a formal, design-focused setting.

Less suitable for: large stags, matching outfits, party accessories or a low-budget beach day.

Marbella Club Beach Club: classic rather than party-led

Marbella Club Beach Club is on the Golden Mile. It has a natural seawater pool, loungers, a beachfront bar and lunch service. On Sundays, a buffet replaces the usual à la carte lunch.

Marbella Club also runs MC Beach, a separate chiringuito-style restaurant. This section refers to the Beach Club with the seawater pool.

This is the quietest option covered here. It is better suited to a small group wanting a long lunch and a calm afternoon than to a hen or stag party seeking DJs, drinking games or a busy event crowd.

Access is the main point to settle. The hotel FAQ says pool loungers are complimentary for hotel guests and that Balinese day beds cost €150 during the summer peak season. It does not state that an outside restaurant reservation includes the pool, loungers or pier cabanas. Non-residents should confirm exactly which facilities they may use before treating lunch as a full beach-club day.

The Beach Club page currently lists the bar from 11:00 to 20:00 and à la carte lunch from 13:00 to 17:30, Monday to Saturday. Marbella Club’s own pages give conflicting end times for the Sunday buffet, so confirm the time for the booking date. Also ask whether outside guests are accepted, how long the table is held and whether the proposed hen or stag celebration is suitable.

The Golden Mile location is convenient for nearby accommodation, but the lack of a public non-resident day-bed package makes this harder to plan for a large party than a venue with a dedicated bed-booking system.

The restaurant is described for accuracy, not offered as a general dining recommendation.

Best for: a small, calm, higher-budget group based on or near the Golden Mile.

Less suitable for: large or loud parties, and anyone assuming that lunch automatically includes pool and lounger access.

Choosing a beach club for a hen group

For a relaxed hen day, Bono Beach is the easiest place to start. The setting feels celebratory without tying the group to a major event, and it is possible to build the day around beds, lunch and later drinks in one place.

Choose Sabine Beach when the meal matters more than dancing. Its Spanish dishes and seafood make sense for mixed ages and anyone who wants a proper conversation over lunch.

Nikki Beach suits a hen party that wants a pool and organised music programme, provided everyone accepts the appearance and entry rules. Leave matching swimwear, veils, sashes and glitter at the accommodation.

Book Playa Padre only after checking the specific event. It may be the better music-led option, but not if half the party wants a quiet day. La Cabane is aimed more at a smaller, dressed-up party, while Marbella Club Beach Club is the calmest option and requires confirmation of non-resident access.

Choosing a beach club for a stag group

A stag booking is generally easier to discuss when the plan is a meal and a day by the sea rather than an organised drinking session.

Bono Beach is the most natural starting point for a relaxed stag day. Give the venue the real number of guests, reserve enough beds and leave props and party games at the accommodation.

Playa Padre may suit a smaller group interested in a particular event, but only after the venue has accepted the full all-male booking. A ticket or bed reservation should not be treated as automatic approval.

Nikki Beach is possible for a group prepared to follow its published rules. Matching clothes and stag accessories are prohibited, and entry remains discretionary. La Cabane and Marbella Club Beach Club are less obvious choices for a conventional stag do, although they may work for a small golf party wanting a smart afternoon. Sabine is better for a food-led group than one expecting a party.

What does a beach-bed booking include?

There is no standard beach-bed package in Marbella. The price may cover only the bed, or include towels, bottles, admission or credit towards food and drinks. Special events may use a different system from ordinary days.

Before paying, ask for the following in writing:

The full price, including VAT and booking fees.

The number of guests covered by each bed.

Whether each person also needs an entry ticket.

Whether towels, umbrellas or lockers are included.

Any credit that can be used on food and drinks.

Any additional minimum spend.

The deadline for claiming the bed.

Whether lunch needs a separate table reservation.

The cancellation, rescheduling and bad-weather policy.

Confirmation that the venue accepts the group’s type and size.

Headline prices are not comparable until these details are clear. A low bed rate can become the more expensive option once tickets and minimum spend are added.

Ordinary beach day or special event?

An ordinary booking may involve lunch, beach service and background music. A promoted date can add a guest DJ, performers, tickets, a higher bed rate, a different age rule and a firm arrival deadline.

Bono and Sabine hold selected events, but remain primarily beach- and food-led. Nikki Beach runs a weekly programme, while Playa Padre’s identity changes more noticeably with its event calendar. La Cabane also promotes selected dates. Marbella Club Beach Club is the least party-led venue in this guide.

Use the official calendar for the actual date. Old social-media clips and previous-season listings do not show what the group will receive now.

Location and transport

Golden Mile: Marbella Club Beach Club is the nearest of these venues for groups staying on the Golden Mile. The exact starting point will determine whether walking is practical or a short taxi is easier.

Central and eastern Marbella: Playa Padre is close to Marbella town, although most parties will still use a taxi. La Cabane is farther east in Los Monteros.

Elviria and Real de Zaragoza: Bono Beach, Sabine Beach and Nikki Beach are all in east Marbella. They work well with Elviria accommodation but involve a longer road journey from Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro or Cancelada.

Traffic on the A-7 can alter journey times substantially on a summer afternoon. Plan from the full accommodation address, arrange enough vehicles for everyone and organise the return before the group starts drinking.

Stick to one beach club for the day. Moving a large party between venues wastes paid bed time and introduces another set of tickets, clothing rules and arrival deadlines.

Three sensible beach-club plans

A relaxed east Marbella hen day

Reserve Bono beds for late morning and one restaurant table for the full party. Stay through lunch and the afternoon rather than adding another activity. If the calendar has a suitable sunset session, carry on; otherwise, return to the accommodation before dinner.

Spanish food by the sea

Make lunch at Sabine the centre of the day and book beds separately for anyone arriving earlier. The menu has Spanish small plates, fish and simpler international choices, but send allergies and dietary needs before the visit. This plan is easier for mixed ages and non-drinkers than a pool party.

A music-led beach day

Compare the Nikki Beach and Playa Padre programmes for the chosen date. Pick one, agree the full budget and dress rules, and place a single coordinated booking. Adding a premium nightclub later may be too much unless the whole group genuinely wants two music-heavy, high-spend bookings in one day.

Booking checklist

Agree whether the priority is the beach, food, music or a pool.

Check the address; several venues are well east of central Marbella.

Find out whether the date is an ordinary day or a special event.

Give the venue the full number and disclose the hen or stag occasion.

Confirm acceptance of a large all-female or all-male party.

Check bed capacity, tickets, minimum spend and usable credit.

Reserve lunch separately unless it is included.

Send the current dress and door policy to every guest.

Remove matching outfits, veils, sashes, props and glitter wherever they are prohibited.

Carry valid photographic identification.

Note the arrival and last-entry deadlines.

Read the weather and cancellation terms before collecting money.

Arrange the return journey in advance.
